Arrived in Harpers Ferry

Daria and I drove into Harpers Ferry this evening after a six hour jaunt and some serene hill-country roads (once we escaped the highway).

We made a quick pit-stop at Domestic to fill our rumbling bellies. The food was OK – the beer and wine list was awesome. It’s funny how a restaurant reflects the values of its proprietor. I settled on a forebodingly-named lager (pictured) that really took the edge off the long and winding road.

This is our first official house sit, and a big thank you to Danica and Paul for allowing us into their home. We’ll be looking after Bonnie, Charlie, and Sophie while they’re on a California hike on the Lost Coast Trail.
