Arepittas

A wonderful little Venezuelan spot right by the building we are staying in. No frills, no website, just really solid arepas.

D rating = 3 Stars (vegetarian beans earned them an extra half star!)

Winghart’s Burgers and Whiskey Bar

Really cool bar in Market Square. We had a lot of fun talking with the bartender Kelly and other patrons about traveling.

J rating = 3 Stars at the time for a classic burger; reduced to 2 Stars after he didn’t feel well later…

Staying:

Housesitting in an apartment in the under-renovation historic Kaufman Department Store building in downtown Pittsburgh
